LIGHT UP THE LAKE
Round Rock, TX is one of the fastest-growing and best-managed cities in the country. Old Settlers Park is huge: 640 acres of trails, sports fields, and its own scenic lake. When Round Rock asked Austin Event Lighting to illuminate an entire lake, we were instantly interested. And the timing could not be any better....
Light at the End of the Tunnel

Austin Event Lighting withstood COVID-19 by adapting and incorporating the "New Normal" into events. The concert space provided our festive visitors the safe distance they needed without dimming our spirits. We used LED strips and twinkle lights to guide guests through the park. Like the floor decals at HEB, pointing us through 2020, but more festive! Everyone needed a little holiday spirit by December of that year...
But LED strips aren't enough!

PROVIDED THE TRUSS STRUCTURE AND FULL LIGHTING RIG FOR THE MAIN STAGE ALONG WITH A GIANT SCENIC LIGHTING PACKAGE SURROUNDING THE LAKE @ OLD SETTLERS PARK. WEIGHED DOWN BY BALLASTS FILLED WITH LAKE WATER, THIS CUBE OF TRUSS REACHED ROUGHLY 20' HIGH, WIDE, AND DEEP. IT TAKES A TELESCOPING FORKLIFT, CHERRY, PICKER, AND A CREW OF EIGHT TO GET IT BUILT, BUT IT'S WORTH IT EVERY YEAR.

And they loved it! Round Rock hired Austin Event Lighting to light up their lake again and again in 2021 and 2022. Each year the truss cube got bigger and bigger while more and more folks attended from all around Central Texas. This year will be no exception!
